This month’s book ties directly to the conversation from this month’s newsletter. Malcolm Gladwell’s third book, “Outliers” (after “The Tipping Point” and “Blink”) speaks in detail about the essence of 10,000 hours purposeful practice as the leading factor to success. He points out several popular examples of success (Bill Gates of Microsoft and The Beatles to name a few) including his own personal and family success.
What I truly enjoy about his book is that it distinctly calls into practice what drives success. Being resourceful, good old hard work and taking full advantage of what our culture and experience gives us all contribute to our overall success. One of my own versions of this concept comes out in the expression “The secret to success without hard work…is still a secret!
Enjoy the Book!
