Effective time management is about the choices we make with the fixed amount of time we have available to us. So it only fitting the book I will highlight this month is "12 Choices - That Lead to Your Success" by David Cottrell. In the spirit of time management, I've chosen a book that is broken down into three distinct parts with each section addressing four choices each. This makes the book easy to read and internalize its salient points in small blocks of time.
The three parts are Character Choices, Action Choices and Investment Choices. Of particular interest is the Action Choices where the author speaks to choices around Doing Something, Persistence, Attitude and Adversity. As I re-read this section recently, it re-enforced the choices we make in these changing times. Whether you are a business owner, corporate leader, non-profit leader or just-getting-started on something leader, the choices you make help define your success. Choosing to set goals that help you manage your life (including your time) will ultimately lead to the desired results and successful lifelong leadership.
Enjoy the book!
